I was cruising the web and found your page and found
it interesting. I'm a Buddhist and will be reading
the relevant material I downloaded from your internal
relevant links. I would like to say thought that if it's
anything close to what I read in the "thumbnails"
(I think that was the name of the link) link on other
religions -- I read the Buddhist parts-- I'm going to
be very disappointed.... it is so naive..... uninformed.
thanks for your message...
i am ALWAYS open to being corrected or instructed in areas that i am
dependent on secondary sources in...such as Buddhism...(the resources i
use are listed in the BOOKS pages of the Tank)...
therefore, if you might be so kind (assuming you have ANY interest at all
in this), i would LOVE to get an email back from you,
detailing/documenting (from your sources) the TOP THREE glaring errors in
my 'thumbnails' paragraph or so on Buddhism...
out of 100,000 visitors to the website, you are the first one that has
voiced disagreement with me on that issue (which may only mean that
others like you found my work either too offensive or too 'dogmatic' to give
any hope that i might be reasonable about these issues...)...i really
would appreciate some instructions from a practicing Buddhist...all the
others i know are ex-Buddhists that were adult converts to Christianity...
if you do not have time or interest, i will certainly understand...but i
will SEEK SOMEHOW to make sure my understanding / presentation of your
position is at least fair by your standards...
so, if you can...the top three?
warmly (and sorry to have disappointed you),
I personally KNOW how it is for my position to be understood or "represented" in an "naive and uninformed" way! I have therefore removed the questionable material from the Thumbnails and am researching (in dialogue with the writer above) the matter. I will re-post the re-written piece when I can do so with 'his approval' that I have stated his position fairly, and with the relevant source-texts.
